Waterborne diseases are caused by chemicals or bacteria in the water that people drink, cook or play in. Examples of Waterborne diseases are diarrhea, fever, nausea, vomiting etc. Vector-borne diseases are spread by insects (such as mosquitoes).

Vector borne disease are caused by vectors(carrying agents) such as malaria ,dengue by mosquitoes, diarrhoea by flies etc. Water borne diseases are that which are caused by faecal contamination of water. Contaminated water when drunk causes diseases such as typhoid, cholera etc.
